The project "Local Adaptation" is aimed at training the local government sector (municipalities and municipal companies) for the development of Local Strategies for Adaptation to Climate Change. This contest selects a single project with a maximum budget of €1,500,000. Applications were based on the following documents:

• Call "Municipal Strategies for Adaptation to Climate Change

• Regulation on the implementation of the European Economic Area (EEA) Financial Mechanism 2009-2014

• Evaluation grid applications

The application period was open until 2 june 2014.

Applications were submitted through a form on own platform.

Six applications were received, which were subject to verification of the formal requirements of admissibility and eligibility under the General Regulation of the AdaPT program. They were excluded from this first phase two candidates: "CERNAS - Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra" and "Horizon Project - Consultants Environment and Landscaping, Lda.".

They were admitted to the technical evaluation stage candidates "Atlantic Axis Peninsular Northwest", "Foundation of the Faculty of Science, University of Lisbon", "Boaventura Afonso. - Studies, Projects and Environmental Consulting, Lda" and "SaeR - Evaluation Society Strategic and Risk Lda.".

The selection of projects was assured by expert evaluators and the Selection Committee. You can consult their constituents here.

The project selected for funding is the "Foundation of the Faculty of Science, University of Lisbon", corresponding to the project recommended by the Selection Committee, with the final score of 92.9 points, and the amount of 1,493,972.56 to support euros.
