The project "Education and climate changeaward" aims to integrate and complement the environmental education in the field of climate change mitigation and adaptation in the areas in pilot schools. One of the project components will be a premium (funding) for the best project implementation measures related to climate change in schools. This contest selects a single project with a maximum budget of € 490,000. Applications were based on the following documents:

• Call "Education and school award climate change"

• Regulation on the implementation of the European Economic Area (EEA) Financial Mechanism 2009-2014

• Evaluation grid applications

The application period was open until 2 june 2014.

Applications were submitted through a form on own platform.

Six candidates were received, which were subject to verification of the formal requirements of admissibility and eligibility set out in the General Regulation of the ADAPT program. Were excluded from this first phase four applications, candidates "Association of European Blue Flag", "Faculty of Social and Human Sciences, New University of Lisbon", "Biorumo - Consulting Environment and Sustainability, Lda" and "Edubox, SA" .
They were admitted to the technical evaluation stage candidates "University of Porto - Faculty of Arts" and "TTerra - Engineering and Environment, Lda."

The selection of projects was assured by experts evaluators and the selection committee, as provided for in Article 21 of the General Regulation of the AdaPT program. You can consult their constituents here.

The project selected for funding is the "University of Porto - Faculty of Arts", corresponding to the project recommended by the Selection Committee, with the final score of 69.6 points, and the amount of 472,041.22 euros to support.
