The contest "sectoral adaptation to climate change projects" aims at supporting the development of studies or implementation measures (pilot or demonstration) identified as relevant in the context of sectoral groups of the National Climate Change Adaptation Strategy (ENAAC). For this contest are allocated € 723,986 to finance 4 to 10 selected projects with budgets of between € 50,000 and € 200,000. Applications were based on the following documents:

• Call "Sectoral projects of adaptation to climate change";

• Addendum to the call;

• Regulation on the implementation of the European Economic Area (EEA) Financial Mechanism 2009-2014;

• Evaluation grid applications.

The application period was open until 15 September 2014.

Applications were submitted by loading the form elements in the platform.

43 applications were received, which were subject to verification of the formal requirements of admissibility and eligibility set out in the General Regulation of the AdaPT program. They were excluded in this first phase 15 applications.

The selection of projects was assured by expert evaluators and the selection committee, as provided for in Article 21 of the General Regulation of the AdaPT program. You can consult their constituents here.

The following five projects with a total funding of 722,586 euros were selected, please refer to the public summaries of the projects:

• GestAqua.AdaPT of NOVA.ID.FCT - Association for Innovation and Development of the FCT, with the final score of 85.150 points and amount to support of 155,958 euros.

• SOWAMO of TARH. - Land, Environment and Water Resources, Ltd., with the final score of 84.300 points and amount to support of 198,755 euros.

• adaptIS ITeCons of the Institute for Research and Technological Development in Construction Sciences, with the final score of 83.550 points and amount to support of 79,672 euros.

• AdaptForChange the Foundation of the Faculty of Science, University of Lisbon, with the final score of 83.450 points and amount to support of 103,378 euros.

• AC:T National Civil Engineering Laboratory, I.P., with the final score of 82,500 points and amount to support of 184,823 euros.
